IP thermometer with LED display
Nano Temperature Sensor PoE is an IP thermometer designed for remote temperature reading via Ethernet. The module has been an LED display which shows the current temperature reading from the 1-Wire DS18B20 sensor. The device is powered by PoE IEEE 802 3af (Power over Ethernet).

Highlights
Technical data
Power supply
- PoE IEEE 802 3af or 10-24VDC screw terminal,
- Power consumption: 1,5W
Inputs
- screw connectors for the 1-Wire bus,
- sensor DS18B20,
- range of measured temperature: -55°C to +125°C.
LAN
- 1 Ethernet port, 10 Mbps.
Supported protocols:
- HTTP (GET),
- SNMP (TRAP),
- Modbus TCP,
- TCP (available protocol),
- MQTT.
Alarm
The device has built-in alarm function. The user can set alarm low or alarm high or alarm low and high. If alarm occur the virtual output will enable. That means the user can easily check (via HTTP, Modbus TCP or SNMP) the current alarm status.
Additionally, the module has the M2M function. Nano Temp can work autonomousily (without user) with other products of the Nano and Lantick series. Using M2M connection, the devices create a remote relay activation path (blower, fan, heater) when alarm condition occurs.
Examples
In the Nano Temp module, there are several resources that can be read using the HTTP GET protocol.
- status.xml – basic information about the device,
- temp1.txt – current temperature shown in text form.
Example of the status.xml resource:
<response> <out>00000000</out> <on>00000000</on> <in>00000000</in> <counter1>0</counter1> <temp1>34.3</temp1> <mac>00:00:00:00:00:00</mac> </response>
The value <on> 00000001 </ on> indicate that the alarm state occurs.
An example of how the MQTT service works:
The Nano Temp sends the current temperature to the INVEO cloud.
Data is sent every 1 minute and every data change. After installing the appropriate MQTT application, the temperature is available directly on the smartphone.
The advantage of using the MQTT service is that you only need connect the Nano Temp to your home router, configure the application on the smartphone and enjoy the remote temperature reading.
